Here are a few of my most popular images...

A postcard view in Trondheim, Norway

"Dribblin' Drake"
This is my most popular image. It's a capture of a Mandarin Drake duck, They're not native to North America, so this handsome fella most likely was an escape from a zoo or private collection. I was fortunate to have him visit a pond in my neighborhood, back in Nebraska.

"That's the Spot"
When you've got an itch, well...

I caught Riders In The Sky onstage.
They encouraged photographs, so I was pleased to have had a pretty good seat.

"Triple Dog Dare"
Nobody wanted to go in first, till Donald just took a leap of faith. Literally. Another fun capture from my neighborhood pond back in Nebraska.

"The Bees Knees"
Some titles just write themselves. A good ol' Kansas sunflower field is a hit with the locals.

Gypsy Jazz in Montana

"Less Traveled Road"
I love to turn off onto dirt roads, when time allows. It's even better when there are no telephone or utility poles in sight. A tumbling tumbleweed is just the thistle on top of the pie.

"Surf's Up!"
My first thought with these little goslings was that they reminded me of the opening credits to the TV show "The Monkees".

"State Line"
Another one of those drives down a dirt road rewarded us with this scene. Several years later , I went back to this spot to take a better picture with a better camera at a better time of day, but the sign was long gone.
So, the best camera is always the one you have with you and just capture the image!

A Tower of Cliche, with my little spin on it.

"The Train's On Time"
Right place at the right time in Strong City, Kansas.

"Skunk Eye"
It's always a treat to photograph wood ducks. I only wonder what he was saying to his wife here...

"Nothing Lasts Forever But the Earth and Sky"
As sung by the band "Kansas". All we are is dust in the wind.

The handoff!

"School's Out"
This wonderfully maintained old schoolhouse is open to the public at the Tall Grass Prairie Reserve in the famous Flint Hills of Kansas.

"Red Boot"
Not a clever title for such a cool image. Spotted along a 2 lane highway in rugged western Kansas, I pulled a U-Turn to go back and capture this one.

"Role Model"
Showing off her true potential to the kids or nieces and nephews. She was laying eggs in our garden while future Black Swallowtails were working on getting bigger.

"Overachiever"
Outstanding in it's field! Just another Kansas sunflower field. They never get old...

"Norwegian Lake"
Sometimes you just need to get away, and no better place to do so than Norway!

"Night Light"
Electrical fun on the plains in Nebraska.

"Deere in the Woods"
There is this farmer in Nebraska who has uncounted old tractors, mostly John Deere, sitting idly behind his barn. This image shows perhaps a fifth of the collection.
He's going to work on them one of these days.

"I Wish To Pet the Fluffy Cow"
Famous last words during "Tourist Tossing Season" in Kansas.
I was safe in a guided tour vehicle and was using my zoom lens. And then, our eyes locked for a moment...

"Silhouettes"
Canada Geese at dusk. Places to go... things to do...

"Pueblo Paw Patrol"
Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. The dogs are lazy and happy.
